Google shows different combinations of your headlines and descriptions. Arabic letters count as one character each, like English.

Descriptions per responsive search adUp to 4

Google mixes your headlines and descriptions to find the best combination, so each one should make sense on its own. The preview shows one common combination.

Writing Arabic ads

Arabic ads should be written in Arabic, not translated word for word, and sent to an Arabic landing page. Arabic letters count as one character each, so the same 30 and 90 limits apply. Switch the preview to Arabic to see the right-to-left layout.

Put the main keyword in headline 1, the offer or benefit in headline 2 and a reason to trust you in headline 3, such as delivery times or reviews.

Frequently asked questions

How many characters is a Google Ads headline?

Up to 30 characters, including spaces. Descriptions can have up to 90.

Do Arabic characters count double?

No. Arabic letters count as one character each. Some Asian scripts count double, but Arabic does not.

Is this the exact way Google shows my ad?

It is a close preview. Google changes layouts and combinations, so the live ad may look slightly different.
